YOJ09-29 Freeform Bangle

Freeform Bangle (2009)
Copper
Constructed, cold joined, liver of sulphur patination

I’ve been in Haliburton for the last week teaching the Wire Jewellery course, so this week’s entry is one of the projects made during the week.  This is the “freeform” bangle we made on Thursday.

Week 2 and Wire Jewellery II start tomorrow.  Four of the ladies from last year have signed up again, and one from last week is in the class as well.  So there are going to be lots of familiar faces!

I’ll write more about the classes after next week when I’m home again.

  1. Just my style..Love it. I do the same types but usually ad gemstones like pearls (fresh water and Kishi) lots of Termaline rondels..Just pretty much play it by ear. If I like it, I keep it. It not so much, some times I just cut some off and ad something else to it until it turns out the way I like it to. I have been doing it for about a year now. Love it and mostly the swirls, etc..I have arthritist really bad and thinking that I should be using a lot of copper on my own personal jewelry..I love this bangle you made..How long did it take you to make it? I don’t really have time limits on my stuff. Just do it until I like it..Great work..Judy in Freso, Ca.

    1. Hi Judy – The only time I make these is when I’m teaching, so it’s spread over a 3 hour class. I can do them fairly quickly, but it depends on the level of detail I want. I made one as a Secret Santa gift a couple of years ago, and it took several hours because I was interweaving three different gauges of wire. I agree completely about just doing it until you like it. Thanks for your comment!
